A JAPANESE MODEL IN MILAN: ‘light’ jam on Akai EWI & Elektron Model:Cycles Impro – descriptive text

Simple improvisation on Akai EWI controlling Elektron Model:Cycles recorded on #ZoomH6 no other processing Composed & Performed © Gary P Hayes in Mount Victoria Blue Mountains Australia copied from a response I did below “EWI does most of the ‘MIDI’ translation work as Cycles has a pretty standard midi implementation. You can assign for example the breath sensor to things like velocity and cutoff CCs … the thing you saw me doing here was on one sound tr4 assigning the breath pressure to ‘volume’ also, so that allowed the ‘after’ feel, you can make sounds louder or softer after they have played – but it had the odd effect of locking sounds at zero or full volume if you weren’t playing, so I switch it in and out for sounds other than tr4 here”
